NEWS IN BRIEF (Updated 2 February 2010)
· Wet Weather Phone Number Change. Wet Weather Info Line. Due to the nature of Athletics being held outdoors, for the safety of all athletes it may be necessary to cancel events or club competition days due to the wet grounds. Cancellation notices are usually published on the home page of this website on the day of competition or you can call 0431 973 129 after 10am on the day of competition for information.
· ‘No False Start’ Rule. For details on this new rule which came into effect 1 Jan 2010, see our News page.
· Runways to Jump Pits Improved. Work has been done on all four runways to our Jump Pits. A layer of crushed granite and topped with top soil has been applied to the runways. This has filled all the divots in the ground and has made them flat and level which is sure to improve athlete performance and safety. Now we need the grass to grow over and some new jump boards will be installed in time for the new season.
